Who to contact, and plain-language definitions of the terms you'll run into.

Who to contact

Your Context Engine is hosted and operated by a partner. For anything about your engine — access, email, backups, recovery, or moving servers — your hosting partner is your first point of contact. They have the tools to check on, fix, and recover your engine.

When you reach out, it helps to mention what you were doing and roughly when, so they can find the right place to look.

Glossary

Context Engine — your private, single-tenant workspace, running in its own isolated space on a server.

Container — the sealed-off space your engine runs in, separate from everything else on the server. This is what keeps your engine isolated.

Single-tenant — one engine serves one person or one team. Your engine isn't shared with other customers.

Operator / partner — the people who host and manage your engine using Relote Cloud. They run the infrastructure but can't read your content.

Backup — a saved copy of your engine's data, encrypted before it leaves the server so only your engine's key can unlock it.

Recovery key — the secret that can unlock your engine's backups. The master key behind your data's safety; keep any copy you hold somewhere very safe.

Recovery / restore — bringing your engine back from a backup, either rolling it back to an earlier state or rebuilding it on a new server.

HTTPS — the encrypted, padlock-in-the-address-bar way your browser talks to your engine.

Break-glass — the rare, deliberately controlled process for getting inside an engine to fix a serious problem. It's authorized, time-limited, recorded, and automatically revoked.

Web address / subdomain — your engine's stable link. It stays the same even if your engine is moved to a different server.
